MAGIC OF THE BEATLES CAST IS OFF TO QATAR FOR FIFA BASH..

The cast of Magic of the Beatles are off to Qatar to play at a private function organised by FIFA, the world football federation. And this time they’re hoping they’ll have the opportunity to get a photograph with David Beckham. . .

Talented musician Dave Peterson, who plays Paul McCartney in the Magic of the Beatles, recalls having performed at David’s former Hertfordshire home – affectionately dubbed Beckingham Palace – for a lavish birthday party laid on for David’s father-in-law.

“Booked as the night’s entertainment,” says Dave, “the evening took a surreal turn when David Beckham started taking photos of us performing.”

As with any celebrity’s private function, the performers were prevented from filming the evening.

“I’m a massive Manchester United fan,” says Dave. “I paid £2,000 for a ticket to see them win the Champions League final in Moscow.

“I was busting for a photograph of Becks but didn’t have a camera to take a picture. Meanwhile, David Beckham was busy taking photos of me!”

Beatle Dave already has his camera packed for his trip to Qatar later this month, and says he’s hopeful of finally getting his picture taken with Becks.

Recommended by the English Football Association, the Magic of the Beatles cast will be playing before a specially-invited audience at the FIFA-organised event at the Radisson Hotel.

Despite playing the plushest hotels and most prestigious theatres throughout the world, the cast of the Magic of the Beatles say that no venue has surpassed the hospitality extended to them by David and Victoria Beckham. “They spent the evening personally making sure we were fed and watered,” says Dave.

“Victoria makes a mean vegetable lasagne!”
